About Fine Art
I am inspired by a joy of nature, particularly the wilder places, its animals, rocks and plants and our interconnectedness with it all, and by a joy for making pictures. I make pictures to express my relationship with my environment through an intuitive use of symbols, abstraction and narrative. I am happy to use oil, acrylic, watercolour and pastel as well as mud, plant dyes, digital photography and computer technology in their production. It is my intent to evoke an understanding of a spiritual ecology.I have painted and exhibited my work in England and also in Ireland, where I lived from 1993-2003. I presently live in North Devon.
